SUMMARY

Set in the Shinigami technical school for weapon meisters, the series revolves around 3 groups of each a weapon meister and a human weapon. Trying to make the latter a "Death Scythe" which is the highest title for a weapon and thus fit for use by the Shinigami, they must collect the souls of 99 evil humans and 1 witch.

Maka & Soul Eater, Black Star & Tsubaki, and Death the Kid with Patty and Liz Thompson are the characters Soul Eater revolves around. Besides taking the time to gather souls, these students of Shibusen defend Death City from some of the most powerful of creatures while still attending school and trying to become stronger.

Pardon me asking, but what is banding?
By the way do you recommend your one or coalgirl's one?
Oh and thanks for helping me find soul eater,but I actually don't mind if the episodes are dual audio or not, I just want them in hd (720p-1080p)

Banding means the gradients are not very gradual. You get 'color bands' with rather abrupt shifts in-between. It's most noticeable in dark scenes. The first screenshot has some banding on the upper-left, though there are some parts that are worse.
I would recommend getting the Coalgirls release, as they provide the best video quality with the same subtitles.
Also keep in mind that a-S is short for anime-Supreme, which are not related to us in any way or form. We are AS - confusing, I know, but important to keep in mind. ;)

Is the banding really that bad compared to coalgirls? i watch it from afar on my tv and the sizes for coalgirls are quite huge for 720p don't really care much about audio type the a-S 720p are about 450 what would you recommend? not sure if the 200-350mb more size is that worth it lol

Watching on a PC screen makes my eyes bleed, but if you do watch it on a TV screen from a distance, all the damage might be less noticeable.
For me the difference is absolutely worth it. However, our viewing patterns are different as can be, so I can't really say how large the gain will be for you.
